India vs England 3rd Test
IND vs ENG 3rd Test 3 Players to Watch Out for: The 3rd Test match in the five-match Pataudi Trophy between India and England will be played in the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium (aka Khandheri Cricket Stadium) in Rajkot, Gujarat from February 15-19.
Known to be a batter’s paradise, the pitches of the
Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium see the ball come onto the bat fairly
well. Bowlers find it challenging to threaten batsmen here and massive totals have
been made at this ground. The boundaries are short too, with the longest ones
being down the ground at 64 m at the VVS Laxman end.

Here are three players to watch out for in India’s 3rd Test
against England –
IND vs ENG 3rd Test 3 Players To Watch Out For
1) Yashasvi Jaiswal
What can be said about Yashasvi Jaiswal that has not already
been said in the last five days? The young Indian batter scored an exquisite
double hundred in the 2nd Test vs England. Not only did he score his first Test
200 in just his sixth match, but he reached all the milestones during the
innings with a boundary, including a six when he was at 94.
Jaiswal was the best batsman on a pitch that was not always
helpful to batters in Vishakhapatnam. With that inning, he ought to have sealed
his spot in the Test setup for the foreseeable future.
The conditions in Rajkot are known to be batter-friendly. It
wouldn’t be a surprise if Jaiswal ends up notching another ton in the 3rd Test.
2) Zack Crawley
In what was a disappointing Test match for English batters,
Zack Crawley was the only Englishman who scored some good runs in both innings.
The opener scored 76 in the first innings and 73 in the second, when no other
England batsman went past even 50.
Crawley proved to be a tough nut to crack for Indian bowlers
on the spin-friendly tracks of Vizag. In the first innings, he was going
run-a-ball when he was dismissed by Axar Patel. In the second innings, it took
a classic delivery by Kuldeep Yadav and a controversial DRS decision to send
him back to the pavilion.
Zack Crawley is an essential piece of England’s ‘Bazball’
style of play, providing a quick start on most occasions. He will be looking to
do the same in Rajkot.
3) Shreyas Iyer
Shreyas Iyer has been struggling in this series so far.
After disappointing in the first Test, he was expected to score big runs in
Vizag, seeing he is considered one of the best batters against spin in India.
He even got decent starts in both innings but failed to capitalize on them,
getting out in the 20s on both occasions.
With a batting-friendly track coming up in the next Test, it
might just be the last chance for Iyer to prove his place in the Test team.
With a chip on his shoulder and a point to prove, Shreyas
Iyer might just show his batting prowess in the 3rd Test. One of the most
elegant batters when in form, Shreyas will be itching to score big in the next
match.
